FUSION announced the release of a new software upgrade for their 650 and 750 True-Marine Entertainment Series systems, adding cutting-edge functionality.

With the introduction of the new software upgrade, 750 series users will enjoy a streamlined icon-based user interface for more intuitive operation and quicker access to their favourite music source.

The software release also adds FUSION-Link Lite compatibility. An open-source audio control platform, which allows accessory manufacturers to network with FUSION’s superior marine entertainment systems.

Whether a steering wheel, smart watch or digital switch, to name a few, the platform gives third-party accessories the ability to adjust volume, skip tracks or change sources on compatible FUSION systems. Its capable of being networked to a host of devices via NMEA 2000, Ethernet, Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connectivity.

Support for FUSION’s recently released MS-DAB100A module is also included. Offering users a plug-and-play converter for existing FUSION stereo systems, the module allows access to the latest Digital Audio Broadcast (DAB) and DAB+ radio stations.

Gaining in popularity, DAB stations now service 94% of the UK, Germany, Netherlands and Scandinavia, with more stations moving to the format regularly.

“Even the most innovative products can be improved upon,” said Chris Baird, managing director, FUSION Entertainment. “Our systems already offer incredible sound quality and are constructed to perform flawlessly in even the harshest conditions. By adding a more user-friendly interface, support for third-party remote control and DAB radio access, FUSION has paved the way for the best user experience imaginable.”
