Shipmate Marine Directory goes National
Spotlight by Kevin Poulter
Boaters in Victoria have enjoyed the benefits of a free Directory providing a one-stop-contacts and location resource for all things marine.

Shipmate Marine Directory, the recreational boaters essential guide, is going national, providing this free information for boaters in all states of Australia, all packaged in a compact book. (see right)

The Directory has a complete A - Z of marine trades and services listed by category, detailed information on yacht clubs, marinas and marine organisations. This is supported by a website displaying real time weather and tides around Australia plus marine news and events.
The completely revamped website (left) now includes the facility to filter listings by state, making it easy to find information fast.

The site is is www.shipmate.com.au (or click on the webpage images here)

On the site you’ll also find Shipmate News, a round-up of marine news from around Australia. Make sure you check out the latest videos which are regularly updated.

The website is optimized for viewing from smartphones and tablets. If you prefer, there’s also a Shipmate App for iOS and Android, available free from the iPhone App Store or Google Play.

In Victoria, boaters can also pick up the print version of Shipmate Marine Directory, a 152 page, full colour pocket guide. The 2014 edition is out now and available free from yacht clubs, marinas, marine organisations and selected marine businesses.

As a free resource for all of the boating community, Shipmate provides free listings to any businesses that provide products or services direct to boaters. If you fit this category, make sure you visit www.shipmate.com.au and submit your listing online. It’s that simple!

While you’re on the site, make sure you register to receive Shipmate News - the twice-monthly marine e-newsletter, which is free too!
