Order of Service Booklet

Tony Maher, a well-liked past President of the HRSA, passed away on Tuesday September 25th, 2018.

He had been in intensive care for some time and we all hoped for a miracle, like his recovery from a similar predicament a number of years ago. We know he had some of the best medical care and an experimental treatment helped him have more years with us.

Tony was a huge supporter of the HRSA and a past President, plus friend to many.

In recent years Tony converted each issue of Radio Waves to PDF format, as required by the printer.

He also made it his mission to design and build better performing crystal sets, which he achieved very well. This created much interest from HRSA members and his battery eliminator power supplies were most popular.

Tony ran one of Australia’s few electronics companies, designing and manufacturing equipment to “see” inside packed products like “Mars Bars” on production-lines, then automatically reject any boxes with less than the stated packed number.

A passionate supporter of Radio, we will miss his friendly banter.
